Data processing location and transmission procedures

Senju is headquartered in Japan. For this reason, your personal data may be accessed, transferred, and stored by staff who are outside the EEA (European Economic Area) or UK. Such measures include, but are not limited to, maintaining a binding contractual arrangement between Senju and any third party processing personal data and implementing appropriate data transfer mechanisms in the form of standard contractual clauses (SCC) as required.

Contractual agreements with third parties and international data transfers

Senju, as a data controller, aims to establish a high level of data protection and privacy together with data processors. Senju shall set the scope, subject, duration, and purpose of data processing and types of personal data processed by a data processor through a privacy-conscious contract.

Senju’s service providers must ensure their transparency and inform the company of their affiliates and external collaborators (such as subcontractors) which may be involved in processing activities in advance. If either a service provider or any of its collaborators is outside the EEA or UK, they are required to implement appropriate data transfer mechanisms, especially standard contractual clauses (SCC) that have been approved by the European Commission in the absence of an adequacy decision or other relevant data protection certification, in order to ensure the secure transfer of personal data. This approach establishes and maintains a high level of data protection and privacy for individuals interacting within and without the EEA or UK.
